Inspirational Artist Feature – Eibatova Karina

Her work has a very Pink Floyd, psychedelic quality to it. Beautifully imaginative and gorgeously executed. Her pristine line-work shows an immense level of control, especially since her medium of choice is pencil and paper. Specifically, a couple of Eibatova Karina’s projects with lettering caught my eye.

Typography At Its Finest

Conceptual realizations of common words, popular people, places, objects, actions and ideas like “exit”, “Spiderman”, and “parellel”. Some graphical associations I found immediately visible. Others were more subtle, a visual puzzle if you will, but each piece is brilliantly and pointedly designed. The use of negative space in the execution is commendable.
Look close. These simple symbols are more than meets the eye.
