Halloween Mask – Painting

To be suitably Halloween themed, I gave the subject matter a more dark and creepy feel. While working on it, I developed a rather detailed back-story for the character, but I’d love to hear your feelings of the piece and what you think it is about.

Eye – ipad sketch

I was using the sketchbook pro iPad app and my new pogo stylus. After testing out the way the iPad app registered my brush-strokes, I would highly recommend the sketchbook Pro app, but found the pogo stylus to be inaccurate and cumbersome. It never seemed to paint where I wanted it to on the tablet. Later, I started using the soft-touch stylus and found drawing and painting much easier. Unlike the pogo stylus, it provides much-needed resistance against the tablet’s surface. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is frustrated using their finger or another stylus to paint on their iPad.
